bio
Richelle Forsey is a Toronto-based photographer and photo-illustrator.
Raised on a steady diet of National Geographic from birth, Richelle always wanted to be a photographer. She studied art and photography at the Etobicoke School of the Arts, BEALart and the Ontario College of Art.
In 1997 Richelle traveled to South East Asia and spent a year documenting the lives of the ABSDF ,(All Burma's Students Democratic Front) and refugees living in the camps in the border area between Thailand and Burma.
Since her return to Canada she has been hard at work in a variety of artistic professions: illustrating for the Toronto Star, facilitating new media 'workshop adventures' for at-risk youth and even publishing an art's and culture magazine (Hive 2003). She currently participates with great zeal in the adventures of the TLR (Twin Lens Reflex camera) Club and is working on a series of social/industrial landscapes called '...terrains.
